A collection of macro photographs from a trip in 2024. My friend has rightly pointed out that macro photography is a poor way to build composition skills. I have no comment for that, but I enjoy the pretty patterns.

The above 5 photos were all from the craters of the moon in Idaho. When I was there I heard an employee claim scientists in the 1960s had discovered that the surface was more like Saturn than the Moon. I find this extraordinarily diffiicult to believe.

This group was all from Yellowstone. What can I say? They looked the coolest.

Arizona and Utah!
